Hormonal birth control such as the pill and IUD suppress ovulation. No ovulation means there’s no egg released for sperm to fertilize, so pregnancy can’t occur. Without ovulation — the main event in a menstrual cycle – there will not be tre fertility data for kegg to record.
kegg was not designed for women who use an IUD including the copper IUD. The Copper IUDs can alter cervical mucus, because of this, kegg may not give you meaningful fertility data.
We recommend users wait to begin tracking their fertility with kegg after completing at least two cycles after they discontinue their chosen method of hormonal birth control and are ready to conceive.
